Hi! I'm Jenelle Allen (a.k.a. Aunt Jeni), and I'm a lifelong Miami Valley resident. For the past 7 years my family and I have lived in Kettering, Ohio.
For over twenty years I've been a busy homeschooling mom, musician, and community volunteer. Because of my flexible schedule and love of animals, friends and relatives have often asked me to take care of their pets when they go out of town or have to work extra hours.
I decided to put all this animal-care experience to good use by starting my own business -- taking care of your pets! I'm a motherly sort, but my kids are now mature enough to be annoyed by my frequent attempts to nurture them. Pets, however, are usually delighted to receive all that tender loving care!
Some of the pets who own my family have special health needs, and this experience helps me to take better care of your pets. Marrah, our beautiful Labrador/golden retriever mix, has a congenital cerebral malformation that affects her vision and gait. Leia, our mama guinea pig, became very ill with toxemia and neuropathy, and we had the privilege of nursing her back to health (and feeding her newborn piggies with an eyedropper every 2 hours). Two of those babies were our Pancho and Buffy, who enjoyed several years of great health before developing bladder stones, which required surgery, antibiotics, and a special diet, among other things. (Yes, I admit it, I'm a guinea pig slave!)
Clients' pets with special needs have included senior canines and felines, pets recovering from surgery, a blind cat, several dogs with arthritis, and dogs and cats with skin infections (not to worry -- as my kids will tell you, I'm a handwashing despot and the Queen of Hand Sanitizer).
Whatever their special needs, every pet is treated with great care and respect. Each one of God's creatures is unique, special, and beloved -- and deserves the best possible quality of life!
